Matic Network Announces Live Rollout Of Mainnet Launch: Report

The Matic network announces the countdown sequence of the mainnet launch officially today as we are reading in the latest altcoin news.

Matic Network is a two-layer scaling platform for public blockchains. The initial series of the launch steps started on Friday, May 15, and will continue through the end of May enabling the Matic Foundation, Dapp Partner Nodes, and staking delegation nodes to start going live on the initial validator set. The first step of the mainnet rollout will include the official announcement of Dapps onboarding to the mainnet on May 15^th which is the Genesis Ceremony from May 26^th to 29^th. The mainnet is going live with an original set of validators by the end of this month:

The test network of Matic known as Counter Stake, is now live and was operating smoothly with a larger set of validators and registrations. It is now in the second stage and is still functioning as a stress-test environment for the hybrid PoS and Plasma of the Matic sidechain design. This one ran a year-long bug bounty program to ensure the adversarial attack vector which was eventually mitigated and identified.

The official rollout will only include a restricted node validator set which will adapt to the new improvements upon the Stage 2 counter stake network. The Matic network announced a rollout of the mainnet that will complement the progress made so far:

 “This multi-step process will ensure that the mainnet deployment and validator onboarding is achieved as smoothly as possible,” continues the blog post. “More importantly, it ensures that right from day 1 that DApps are able to deploy their products successfully on Matic and that their user experience is stable and robust.
