Binance, which is a leading crypto exchange and one of the most popular places to buy Bitcoin, has recently launched a fundraiser to help people impacted by the destruction that was wrought by Hurricane Dorian.
As the latest cryptocurrency news show, the past couple of days were terrible for the Caribbean islands and now the south east coast of the US is battered by winds with hundreds of individuals in active need of help.
The leading crypto exchange saw the situation and decided to help – launching the fundraiser through its charity division – the Binance Charity Foundation. The exchange is right now calling on the blockchain and crypto industry in general to donate to its non profit organization and help the people impacted from the hurricane.
The Binance fundraiser seeks cryptocurrency donations to help the storm victims. Hurricane Dorian was already described as one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded – hitting the Bahamas on September 1 and leaving as many as 20 people dead, as a BBC news report showed.
