The award-winning rapper Eminem purchased Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for 123.45 ETH and has since made the ape his profile picture on Twitter. In the meantime, he seems to have collected at least 15 NFTs so far on OpenSea under the name Shady Holdings. Eminem is one of the best-selling artists of all time having sold more than 220 million records across the world. He also is the only rapper to win an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself” in the “8 Mile” movie. He also won plenty of American Music Awards and 15 Grammy awards.
GeeGazza BAYC member sold the blonde ape to Eminem and announced that the sale became a reality which he saw as mad and remarked that he is living in a simulation. Eminem hasn’t commented yet on the sale. GeeGazza was hoping to sell this ape to Eminem for a few months and back in November, he said that Eminem is destined to buy his Bored Ape. He admitted also that he was trying to manifest for a long time that Eminem buys his ape. The agency Six took credit for the BAYC NFT sale to Eminem and wrote on Twitter that their agency helped secure the ape which they are calling the EminApe.

The agency previously worked with the rap group Wu-Tang Clan and artist Tycho and Galantis on other projects but with the new EminApe, Eminem officially joined the second biggest NFT project by volume. The BAYC traded 11,705.97 ETH so far in the secondary sales with the floor price now sitting at 60 ETH. Eminem joined a lot of other celebrities that took part in bored apes including NBA star Stephen Curry and Jimmy Fallon. BAYC surpassed CryptoPunks in overall OpenSea floor price and rankings and was a huge achievement for a project that started in April 2021.

As recently reported, Right before the Oscars, iconic rapper and Oscar winner for “Lose Yourself” back in 2003, Eminem partnered with Nifty Gateway unveiled his first NFT at Shady Con. The artist-born Marshall Mathers is the latest in a line of celebrities that are joining the NFT craze. Eminem partnered with Nifty that is owned by Gemini to release his first NFT.
