The NFT-supporting rap legends Eminem and Snoop Dogg released a music video featuring animated versions of their BAYC avatars. The song is called From the D2 The LBC and the video opens with a shot of Ethereum preparing to record in the booth. Eminem turns to Ape moments later and morphs into a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT in a live-action universe. The song debuted at the end of ApeFest which is an annual event in Manhattan, New York for BAYC holders.
Eminem is a proud Bored Ape NFT holder and has a Twitter picture to prove it. He purchased the avatar for $452,000 last year but also seems to have acquired 25 other NFTs under the name “shady holdings” on Open sea. Snoop Dogg collaborated with MoonPay to buy one BAYC, two MAYCs, and one Bored Ape Kennel Club companion. Snoop has been immersed in crypto for a while now and the rapper joined the DOGE meme train alogn with KISS bassist Gene Simmons as well as Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
