Elon Musk is in the latest cryptocurrency news again and again for the umpteenth time over the past couple of months. The billionaire and tech entrepreneur has this time graced cryptocurrencies on Twitter with a brief presence.
In response to a tweet from the Bitcoin influencer Cobain, Elon Musk joked stating “cryptocurrency is my safe word.”
Cryptocurrency is my safe word
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 13, 2019
The Tesla and SpaceX chief executive is known for his interesting use of Twitter. Because of that, this joke proves that he is not afraid to respond to mentions involving crypto assets as well as Bitcoin.
A couple of weeks ago, Musk was again featured on the best cryptocurrency news sites – showing up late to the April Fools’ Day party and expressing love towards Dogecoin after one tweet revealed that he may be the ‘chief executive’ of the popular meme cryptocurrency.
Elon Musk then posted a meme and an article related to cryptocurrencies as well as doge to his millions of followers, before resigning from his position as the head of the decentralized blockchain.
Before that, Musk asked his followers if they want to “buy Bitcoin” and posted a photo of a crypto merch-clad Japanese Anime girl (he is fan of this type of media) in line with his message. What’s even funnier is the fact that Elon Musk has run-ins with Ethereum scambots and their derivatives. He claimed that these bots have “mad skillz” and shunned them, asking the Dogecoin creator Jackson Palmer about a way to purge them from his Twitter feed. This proved him popular in the altcoin news section on our site too.
All of this is leading to the fact that Elon Musk is being bullish on cryptocurrencies’ long-term prospects in a digital world – mentioning Bitcoin and other cryptos increasingly over the recent years.
Still, a lot of analysts are wondering what could Musk do to further promote cryptocurrencies and help their global regulation.
