The US-based fast food chain Chipotle launches a $200K crypto giveaway via an online game that will give customers the chance to win the prize. In the announcement, Chipotle said that fans will have the option to play the “Buy the Dip and eat the dip” game using the rewards accounts. The company will give away $45,000 in BTC, $10,000 in Ether and $13,750 in Solana, $14,250 in DOGE and $14,250 in AVAX. The Chief marketing officer Chris Brandt added:
“We want to build the next generation of Chipotle fandom by connecting with the Web3 community.”

The restaurant chain gave away $100,000 in BTC in April 2021 as a part of the National burrito day promotion and in June, Chipotle announced that $3000 restaurants in the US will start accepting 98 cryptocurrencies as payment via digital payment provider Flexa. Another major fast food chain in the US organized a similar crypto giveaway as the space grew and back in 2021, Burger King also partnered with Robinhood to give away BTC, DOGE, and ETH as a part of the customer purchase. McDonald’s in China started a campaign for customers to win 188 NFTs in celebration of the 31st anniversary while the US operations later filed trademark applications that suggest an entry in the metaverse.
Most users were buying dips in the price of BTC after the strong volatility in the entire market. Chipotle said it will give prizes based on the exchange rate on the day of the reward rather than at the end of the campaign. ProShares stepped in offering investment vehicles with more exposure to shorting BTC amid the reports that the crypto winter arrived.
As earlier reported, the popular Mexican fast-food chain is accepting crypto payments through digital payment provider Flexa in up to 3000 US-based restaurants. Flexa announced the partnership which will see Chipotle accepting 98 cryptocurrencies that Flexa supports such as Ethereum, BTC, and USD Coin. The Chipotle restaurant’s website doesn’t contain any information about this announcement. The fast-food giant, Is the latest Flexa partner that joined other larger businesses like Regal Theaters and Bancoagricola which is the biggest financial institution where Flexa enabled both retail and merchant BTC transactions for the customers of the bank.
