The exchange that is based in Hong Kong has officially issued a press release in which they announce the addition of the two major cryptocurrencies this Tuesday. As the press release states:
“Adding Stellar and Verge to our platform underlines our commitment to extend the reach of Bitfinex traders to the most exciting investment opportunities in the space,” said Jean-Louis van der Velde, CEO of Bitfinex, in an announcement. “With a stellar combined market cap of $9+ billion, these elite tokens bolster our growing array of tokens as we continue to anticipate the needs and demands of the digital asset community.”
Currently, Bitfinex is in plans to move from their location (Hong Kong) to Switzerland in order to encourage growth in a positively regulated environment. That way, it will expand its operations. Meanwhile, Bitfinex already expanded and added 12 new cryptocurrencies in the past month.
“Today’s announcement continues the strong wave of activity within the Bitfinex community, following the addition of 12 new tokens to our platform earlier this month. We look forward to maintaining this positive momentum in the weeks and months ahead,” the exchange stated.
Everyone is eyeing the potential move to Switzerland which can mean a lot of things for Bitfinex – but mainly will benefit everyone in the cryptocurrency space and strengthen the exchange even more.
