The Basic attention token project is open source and decentralized which is designed to address fraud in digital advertising. The entire ecosystem also includes Brave, which is also open source and a privacy-focused browser that is designed to block trackers and malware. The browser decreases the load time on pages by blocking ads while still enabling micropayments between the publishers and creators of content. When one user goes into the Brave Rewards system, they start seeing Brave Ads and accumulate BAT which can clam later via the integrated wallet. The users can customize how much of the ads they wish to see or choose not to see any ads.

The Brave Ads don’t replace the web page ads so the users seem them as separate in a notification form. when the users click to engage with these notifications, they will see a full-page ad with a new ad tab on the browser.  All of the users can donate the BAT which they can earn from seeing Brave ADS. They will also be able to redeem their BAT for real-world rewards such as hotel vouchers, gift cards, and other forms as well. The creators and publishers don’t have to use the brave browser to collect their BAT payments but can complete the verification process on Uphold. BAT can also be converted to fiat automatically and transferred to the bank account of the creator.
