The former White House advisor Michael Warren joins Ripple as a new Board member while Matt Hamilton resigned from his position at the company so let’s read further in today’s latest Ripple news.
Ripple’s Director of Developer Relations, Matt Hamilton, announced his departure because of personal issues and on the other hand, the blockchain company appointed the former White house advisor Michael Warren as a new board member. The American previously served as a Senior Advisor in the White House in the Obama administration.
It’s not all bad for Ripple but according to another document, the blockchain organization welcomed Michael Warren on the Board of Directors and the latter has over 20 years of experience advising clients on geopolitical and economic issues. He is also the Managing Director of Allbright Stone bridge Group where he mostly consults investors and companies on how to operate in businesses and comply with regulatory requirements. Warren was a part of the White House Presidential Personnel Office while Obama was president and served on the Audit Committee. Ripple raised the hopes that with Warren on hand, the company will expand its presence in the international markets and will make some good relations with global financial watchdogs. He said:
“I’m excited to join Ripple at such a pivotal moment in history, both for the company as well as crypto at large. I have long admired the tenacity shown by Ripple and its management team, using regulatory setbacks in the U.S. as an opportunity to pioneer crypto regulation for the benefit of industry innovation and establish an equal playing field for all.
I look forward to being a part of Ripple’s efforts to move the needle forward on crypto regulation while the company further solidifies its position as a leader in global finance and the digital economy.”
The developer at Ripple on the other hand Matt HAmitlon revealed he will be leaving the company as his wife is going through some health issues and he needs more time with her. He disclosed his resignation from his positions and said:
“Ripple has been amazingly supportive through all this time, both on a personal and a professional level. However, despite all the support, it has become clear I am spinning too many plates. So I’m going to be stepping down from my role at Ripple to focus on supporting my family and helping my wife recover.”
