The week-long period that OpenSea gave users to migrate their NFT listings ended today. After the deadline, the platform announced that some features on the site could not be available because of the migration. OpenSea pushed for a smart contract and urged to start a migration of their NFT listings from the old contract to the new one. The marketplace mentioned that the upgrade brings more features like bulk listings and descriptive signatures while ensuring all of the inactive listings expire.

Hours after the announcement, the platform reported phishing attacks that lead to some users losing their NFTs and after this, the team launched an investigation to find out what exactly happened. The co-founder Devin Finzer urged the users that are affected to contact their support team. Mintable also made a pledge to return NFTs which were stolen in the phishing exploit as the team noticed that some of the NFTs were lost on another marketplace LooksRare. They decided to buy the NFTs and return them to their original owners according to the founder.
The contract migration ended and the platform informed the users that active listings in the website could be invisible and that the floor prices could vary. However, the platform said that it is only temporary and to protect the listings, OpenSea disabled the bids and purchases until the migration is completed. In the meantime, the blockchain community was quite vigilant in regards to NFTs because scams that targeted $20 million worth of crypto were stopped by YouTuber Coffeezilla and community members.
As recently reported, The three non-fungible tokens stolen from the OpenSea users are now going to be returned to their owners after Mintable recovered them. Accoridng to a press release from Mintable, the team is acquiring Azuki NFTs on the NFT marketplace LooksRare for the Floor Buster flash sale when they found and purchased three Azuki NFTs while in the announcement, Mintable said it will like to return them to the rightful owners.
