The crypto-themed restaurant called “Doge Burger” was launched in Dubai and will let customers pay for their food using cryptocurrencies. It will offer a Doge themed menu and burgers that can be delivered to customers’ doors. Doge burger went live and even started accepting orders so the restaurant will offer food delivery directly to people’s doors like fries and burger options.
Its packing appears entirely Doge-based featuring a rocketship reading “to the Moon” on the burger container with the bottom of the container reading “I Love cryptocurrency.” Dogecoin is crypto launched in 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer and it is based on the internet meme of DOGE so despite being openly made as a joke, it has established long-term popularity and it is the 13th most valuable coin by market cap.
Some other doge-based cryptocurrencies like FLoki Inu and Shiba Inu already launched in Dogecoin’s shadow but Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk likes DOGe particularly and even helped spur its popularity. Other merchants also started accepting Dogecoin for purchases including AMC theaters and many more. Doge Burger will accept other cryptos for payments like Ethereum, Bitcoin, CRO, XRP, BnB, and Shiba Inu.
As recently reported, The Tesla CEO has not been shy about his interest n DOGE and now Elon Musk hinted at another collaboration with the satellite internet venture Starlink and possible DOGE adoption for merch. The business magnate responded with a wink emoji when the Twitter user proposed an idea of SpaceX merch store and Starlink accepted it as the biggest memecoin. Sharing the exchange on the micro-blogging website, DOGE’s co-founder billy Markus said he wants to buy a model rocket with dog money.
The developments come hours after Musk posted a reply with a few sweating droplets emoji to McDonald’s new teaser. Despite the common assumption of adding DOGE payments, the fast-food giant was directed to a Super Bowl advertisement featuring rapper Kanye West which was not what the DOGE community was expecting.
