FLoki Inu as the self-proclaimed DOGE killer secured a major partnership deal with India’s top professional football clubs like Kerala Blasters known as The Blasters. In an official announcement made on the FLOKI Twitter page, the meme coin said it will become the club’s official sleeve sponsor. As a part of the deal, Floki Inu’s logo will appear on the right sleeve of the Blasters’ jersey during the Hero Indian Super League. The FLOKI brand along with other fan-focused items will have LEDs displayed on the home matches.

FLOKI’s developers intended to tap into Kerala Blasters’ fame and to push the meme coin into the mainstream but also to introduce its brand to more than 100 million fans worldwide. Kerala Blasters is now the most followed club in India and made headlines as the first club to reach two million followers on Instagram. It now boasts over 2.3 million followers and about 1.8 million followers on Twitter. FLOKI intends to leverage the club’s popularity and grow the active community of supporters. Earlier this month, meme coin supporters decided to run a marketing campaign in the UK and the commercial read “Missed DOGE? Get Floki” and was plastered on plenty of London buses which ultimately had a goal of using the city’s public transport system to get the coin into the mainstream and get people to invest in the coin.
It was not too long until the UK government noticed the aggressive advertising of the product which regarded it as an unregulated project. Government agencies like the Advertising Standards Authority got into action to shield the wave of misleading crypto ads and it said that these ads are unethical. The Transport for London, UK government agency which manages the public transport system, also warned not to approve such ads on the London buses.
As recently reported, meme coins became extremely popular over the past years and we saw them being highly susceptible to changing social media sentiment because they can be very volatile. The Shiba Inu token increased 980% over the past 30 days according to CoinGecko with the entire span coming after a previous price bump following the listing on Coinbase. While both coins are well ahead of the rest of the meme pack, other dog coins are popping up as well. Floki Inu for example was up by more than 200% following low fees and potential impact from the physical marketing campaign in London.
