Brave Browser integrates a preconfigured Binance Smart chain wallet that will be added to the browser as of late, so let’s learn more about it in our latest Binance news today.
The privacy-centric browser Brave Browser integrates a dedicated Binance smart Chain wallet as per the recent announcement opening up the browser’s users to the Binance smart chain ecosystem of Defi products. Brave can already be configured to jump into BSC manually so the addition of the preconfigured wallet is expected to make the process simpler and will require no special apps, wallets, or anything else.
In the meantime, the token which is at the center of the Brave Browser, the BAT or Basic Attention Token, has been made compatible with BSC in the form of Wrapped BAT. The wrapping process is a process where tokens from one blockchain ecosystem can be represented on a completely different one and the most common example could be the WBTC on Ethereum which is made compatible with the processes of the other one. The CEO and co-founder of Brave, Brendan Eich said:
“Our hope is that BAT and Brave will take crypto mainstream and to make DeFi user-friendly for the mass market.”
Brave has over 25 million active monthly users and more than 7 million daily active users and emerged as an alternative to mainstream browsers by offering increase privacy and no tracking as well as the options to advertise a users’ choosing. Binance Smart Chain coordinator Xiaoguang Zhang commented on Eich’ sentiments that the integration into Brave will bring more DEfi and crypto adoption:
“With this strategic integration between the Brave browser and Binance Smart Chain, we will introduce seamless UX together for crypto users to access DeFi and Dapps in BSC and other blockchains, which will dramatically inspire mass adoption and inclusive finance.”
Like plenty other altcoins, the value of the BAT, Basic Attention Token surged to a new all-time high so, between January and March, BAT gained 515% against the US dollar and climbed from the previous level of $0.20.
As recently reported, Brave is set to launch the privacy-based search engine later this year and will ask the users to view ads in exchange for crypto. Brave Search is the first attempt of the company to crush Google’s Dominance as Google’s search engine has a 92% market share.
