VeChain’s Blockchain Could Transform The Sustainable Marine System

VeChain’s blockchain could transform the entire marine system, according to the Vechain Foundation and their latest idea which we are reading more about in the latest VeChain news.

The VeChain Foundation will participate in the ‘’Sino-Norwegian Sustainable Innovation’’ webinar and will discuss the usage of blockchain technology in the new industry sector. The foundation launched Vechain community Video contest 2020 for the second anniversary and the prize will be 1 million VETs.  Through the account on the Weibo social network, the Vechain Foundation announced participation in the webinar which will allow it to present Vechain’s blockchain technology and the possible use cases to the participants. The foundation’s presentation will mostly focus on sustainable marine development.

The event was co-organized by the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai along with the Norwegian Agency for Innovation, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences among others. The organizers partnered with Vechain to implement the solutions to the seafood industry. The partnership was made together with DNV GL in early April. The partners agreed to create a platform to bring Norwegian products to the Chinese market. They will use the MyStory traceability solution which will increase safety and will help to meet the health requirements by the Chinese government.

Vechain also partnered with the Italian brand ICAB la Fiammante to use the Thor blockchain to record all of the information related to the Italian tomato supply chain. Their initiatives were launched to raise awareness about the VEchain blockchain and the solutions it can provide to the community. Therefore they are launching a second edition to reaffirm the commitment that the platform has with the community. Users that want to participate have until June 30^th to make a video that talks about the platform. The video has to be at least 10 minutes long and can be submitted into any language with English subtitles.

The contest has to be suitable for all audiences and has to abide by the YouTube standards. The Vechain Foundation suggests participants should include an image and other VeChain related content. The contest will have 4 prizes for the winners, 1 million VETS for the first place, 500 thousand  Vets for the second place and 200 thousand VETs for the third place. There will also be 4 honorable mentions that will receive a 100 thousand TVA each. The winners will be announced on July 5^th on Twitter.
