Following our latest Etheruem news, in the text below, we will show you the latest upgrade Ethereum has been working on lately.
Constantinople is Ethereum’s new system upgrade that includes five new improvement proposals. These proposals will alter the blockchain permanently so the nodes on the network must update together as well.
Five of the improvements claim that there will be a technical upgrade for a more efficient method information processing (EIP 145), optimizing of large-scale code execution (EIP 1052), improvements on the smart contracts for better pricing methods ( EIP 1283) and also a new scaling solution written by the ethereum founder himself, Vitalik Buterin (EIP 1014).
The upgrades are supposed to improve code optimizations, time processing, better price structures, and also improving ethereum’s privacy policy. The latest addition to the proposals, EIP 1234, is set to deal with all the increased block mining by encouraging the transition into a better proof-of-stake system named Casper. When this transition happens, blocks will be faster and easier to mine with Constantinople.
However, many members of the ethereum community are strictly opposed of this decision to lower down the rewards miners take because they believe that all mining operations will become highly centralized. It’s important to know that all of the improvements will undergo weeks of testing and reviewing ensuring the people opposed to this project that the process is not a jumped decision.
The final release date of the project is set to happen on October 8th but what’s also very important is that at the start of November a new hard fork of ethereum is likely to happen. Letting all the people get to know Constantinople is a great way to really know what the users and critics think and to finally deliver a great product.
