Market Recovers And Is Above $130bn.

A new optimistic report is in the crypto news today – finding that even 61% of high-profile digital companies globally are investing in blockchain. First reported by the identity management firm Okta, the report was published on April 2.

In it, the San Francisco-based enterprise identity provider (Okta) has released a survey on the new trends in technological developments and business opportunities of the largest companies in the world.

Okta surveyed more than 1,050 IT, security and engineering decision makers from global companies with a minimum of $1 billion in revenue. As the report explains, the decision makers are defined as someone in the company who is “responsible for making technology purchasing decisions.”

The survey responses were collected in January and February 2019 in order to find out how businesses are applying the emerging technologies. As it outlined, most of the decision makers preferred to invest in the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) as the two main domains – with 72% of the companies saying that they invested in IoT while 68% claimed that they invested in AI.

On top of that, 61% of the respondents said that they invested in blockchain – while 58% of them said they invested in augmented reality technology. Out of the total 1,050 decision makers, more than 90% claimed that their companies are working on formal digital transformation and investing in at least one of the technologies mentioned above.

This report comes on top of another one done by the US-based market research firm named International Data Corporation, which recently predicted that the spend for blockchain projects globally will account for about $2.9 billion in 2019 – which marks an increase of 88.7% compared to 2018.

Even though both of the reports are quite optimistic, they definitely come in line with the fact that the popularity of blockchain technology is increasing – and with that more and more digital companies are joining the massive trend.
