One of the largest crypto exchanges and wallet service providers based in the United States-Coinbase is in out crypto news today after officially announcing support for Bitcoin Cash to its wallet after the announcement was published yesterday on February 19.
The wallet provider says in its announcement:
“The new Wallet update with Bitcoin Cash support will roll out to all users on iOS and Android over the next few weeks.”
As previously reported, Coinbase Wallet introduced back in April 2018 a rebranding process for the company’s open source decentralized app (dApp) wallet and browser known as Toshi. The rebranded Toshi had a few new features from the main app Coinbase.com and was aiming to provide better security and more transparency. Coinbase wallet lets users store their private keys on the devices but also allows them to buy and store crypto-collectibles by using the Dapps and receive tokens from initial coin offerings (ICOs).
At the start of this month, Coinbase added support for Bitcoin to its wallet app. The company also announced that the users can back up their private keys on the cloud storage which is now Google Drive or iCloud to which the crypto community didn’t act so well.
Just seven days ago, another one of the largest exchanges on the crypto market OKEx which is the third-largest crypto exchange by daily trading volume, announced the support for four new crypto pairs to the platform including Dash (DASH), Bitcoin SV (BSV), Qtum (QTUM) and NEO (NEO) against Bitcoin or Tether (USDT).
