One Hong Kong based computer hardware manufacturer known by the name Sapphire has officially announced the new graphics card for mining the recently launched GRIN Coin – something that went viral in the latest digital currency news.
In an official crypto press release that was published on January 22nd, the SAPPHIRE RX 570 16GB HDMI Blockchain Graphics Card has been described as one of the “new family” cards that supports mining of the new GRIN Coin.
Meanwhile, GRIN was released earlier this month as a privacy-oriented token that is touted as a fully decentralized and democratized digital asset. The token is based on mimble-wimble technology which basically grants users in the network with solid anonymity by encrypting the value of a transaction using the “blinding factors.”
The new GPU from Sapphire is also able to solve the Cuckoo Cycle algorithm which forms the basis of Grin’s proof-of-work (PoW) and is “one of the few solutions that can efficiently mine Cuckatoo 31+ and as a result there are fewer users on the network leading to higher rewards for early miners.”
According to the press release, the GPU is not available for sale right now, but will be eventually released on the company’s website over the next couple of months.
